Abstract :Children today may not be directly active on social media, yet they become visible on digital platforms through the images and narratives produced by their parents. This study analyzed Instagram posts by parents using the hashtag innocent child through content analysis. The analysis revealed themes representing children as aesthetic objects, victimized figures, incomplete individuals, and little adults. Additionally, serious ethical issues were identified in these posts. The findings show that children’s representations on social media often overlook their subjectivity, relying on a complex and multi-layered notion of innocence. Therefore, social media content involving children should be approached with ethical awareness that respects their individual rights, developmental characteristics, and subjectivity.
