Abstract :The popular music genre, referred to as Anatolian rock in some sources and Anatolian pop in others, has begun to gain momentum again in the cultural flow since the 2010s. The concepts that are frequently repeated in articles related to Anatolian rock in both domestic and foreign sources as a result of this momentum bring about new analysis opportunities regarding the revival process experienced by the said genre. As evidenced by the way discussions about the revival of Anatolian rock, led by articles promoting bands such as Altın Gün, are carried out in a way that includes concepts such as retro, nostalgic, and exotic, shows the necessity of drawing a conceptual framework for the perception of Anatolian rock in the literary world, and for discussions on the ways in which the revival of Anatolian rock is perceived. In order to meet this need, this article takes the mobility of the band Altın Gün, which has been active since 2017, within the cultural flow as a case study; the analysis of the band in the context of musical and non-musical signifiers is carried out through its connection with the event referred to as the Anatolian rock revival in the local and foreign press. In accordance with this analysis, the benefits of approaching the emergence phase of the Anatolian rock genre with the concept of revival have been addressed for academics who are interested in the current dynamism of the genre.
