Abstract :The earthquake that struck southeastern Türkiye on February 6, 2023, caused not only physical destruction but also severe psychosocial impacts. Healthcare professionals in Adıyaman faced intense stress and emotional burden both during emergency response and while maintaining hospital operations. This study aims to examine the role of psychological resilience in the relationship between post-earthquake psychological stress and coping strategies among healthcare workers. A quantitative research design was employed. The Earthquake Stress and Coping Strategies Scale (ESCSS), the Attitude Scale for Determining the Psychological Effects on Individuals Exposed to Earthquakes (ASDPE), and the Brief Resilience Scale (BRS) were administered. Data were analyzed using regression analyses. Earthquake stress was found to have a significant and negative effect on psychological resilience (β = -0.527, p < 0.001) and also negatively affected coping strategies (β = -0.470, p < 0.001). Psychological resilience played a full mediating role in the relationship between earthquake stress and coping strategies (R² = 0.485, p < 0.001). Healthcare professionals with higher psychological resilience are less negatively affected by earthquake stress and develop more effective coping strategies. Post-disaster psychosocial support programs should prioritize strengthening healthcare workers’ psychological resilience through targeted training and support initiatives. Keywords : Coping strategies, earthquake stress, healthcare workers, psychological resilience
