Abstract :This study was conducted to examine the effects of nurses\\\' use of uniforms and other external appearance elements on patient perceptions. The study was conducted as a descriptive cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of 467 patients who attended to two different hospitals for various reasons, had no communication problems, and were willing to participate in the study. Data were collected between August 10 and 30, 2024, using the Participant Information Form and the Questionnaire Form. Among the participants, 75.6% were female, 76.7% held a university degree, 69.4% were unemployed, and 19.4% were employed as civil servants. Among the participants, 61% reported that the nurse\\\'s external appearance affected them, 41.8% felt more secure when the nurse wore a white uniform, 72.4% preferred the nurse to wear a uniform or a uniform with an apron, 61% stated that the nurse\\\'s external appearance positively affected treatment and care, and 64.7% were negatively affected by the care provided by a nurse without a uniform. Conclusion: The appearance of nurses significantly affects patients\\\' trust in the nurses who provide care and treatment.Keywords : Hemşirelik bakımı, hemşire görünümü, üniforma
