Abstract :Adaptive reusing becomes a sensible approach when the historical function of a building no longer aligns with the requirements of the modern age, or when the economic and sociocultural dynamics of the surrounding environment change. However, it is crucial to take the right steps in the process of repurposing to avoid unfavorable outcomes. The study aims to adaptive reuse the historical Yeni Hamam structure in Tunceli Çemişgezek, which has become inactive and lost its original function, without compromising its identity and spatial arrangement. With this context, it provides a new function to the bath structure using the space syntax method and ensures the most suitable functional organization for its spatial arrangement without causing any harm to the building.This approach is intended to facilitate making informed decisions without damaging the structure and to lay the groundwork for future work. The methodology involves conducting a literature review related to the subject and implementing a practical study using the space syntax method. In this context, the historical Yenihamam building has been given the function of a “museum and a welcome center”. Other data, especially the process of functionalizing historical buildings, are expected to make positive contributions in this way.
