Abstract :İslam Dini hem manevî hem de maddî temizliğe önem atfetmiştir. Biz bu makalede maddî temizlikle ilgili “istibra” hususunda vârid olan rivâyetleri incelemeye çalışacağız. Bazı rivâyetlerde “istibra”dan dolayı kabir azabı görenlerin olduğu ifade edilmiştir. Bir taraftan bu husustaki temizliğe dikkat etmeyenler, öte taraftan aşırı tavır sergileyenler mevcuttur. İşin aslını öğrenmek için istibra konusundaki rivâyetleri sıhhat bakımından araştırıp okuyucuyla sonuçlarını paylaşmakla birlikte bu konudaki isabetli içtihat ve fetvaları sunmayı hedeflemekteyiz.
