Abstract :Bu çalışmanın amacı 8 milli hentbol oyuncusunun iki farklı yükleme ile uygulanan PWC 170 testi esnasında, asit-baz dengelerinde meydana gelen değişimleri incelemektir. Deneklerin kan örnekleri dinlenme esnasında, 1. ve 2. yükleme sonrası el parmaklarından (kapiller kan) alınmıştır. 1. yüklemeden sonra asit-baz dengesinde bir değişiklik olmamasına rağmen, 2. yükleme periyodundan sonra Ph, Oj saturasyonu (P < 0.05), HCOj, B.B, BE, eff. PcpOTde anlamlı azalma (P < 0.01), Pcp COj ve laktik asit yoğunluğunda anlamlı artış görülmüştür. Özet olarak araştırmanın ikinci yükleme periyodunda, PWC 170 testinin denekler üzerinde kompanse edilemeyen metabolik asidoza neden olduğu görülmüştür.
