Abstract :Müzik öğretmeni, müzik dalında öğretmenlik mesleğinin gerektirdiği öğrenimi bitirerek ya da yeterlilikleri kazanarak öğretmenlik yapma yetkisini elde etmiş kimse demektir. “Ülkemizde 1830\'lardan itibaren sivil eğitim alanında rüştiyeler, idadiler, sultâniler, darülmaarif gibi okulların devletin denetiminde açılması, eğitim hizmetlerinin yaygınlaştırılmasını sağlamış ve bu okullarda programlara uygun eğitim yapma zorunluluğu getirilmiştir. Anılan sivil okullarda “Gına” “Musiki ve Gına” ve “Musiki” adları altında müzik derslerinin yer aldığı Bu derslerin okutulmasının istenmesine karşın eğitimcisinin yetiştirilmemiş olması, o zaman amaçlanan müzik eğitiminin gerçekleşmesine olanak vermemiştir. “Cumhuriyet Yönetimi, Ulu Önder Atatürk\'ün A music teacher is a person who has the license to teach music by gaining the ability in this area through the education. In Turkey, civil education services have been programmed as the institutions like “Rüştiye, İdadî, Sultanî, Dar-ül maarif” since 1830. In those schools, music lessons were scheduled under the names of “Gına, Musiki ve Gına, Musiki”. However; the programs of the music teachers\' education were not exist at those institutions. Therefore, those kinds of lessons were not able to bring out music teachers who were expected and to reach the goals in general music education. The Republic\'s cultural politics considered the training of the music teachers important in order to raise the educational quality of the society to the level of contemporary living conditions under the guidance of Atatürk.
