Abstract :Bu araştırma makalesi sosyal kimlik ile giyim ve moda arasındaki ilişkiyi kapsamaktadır. Bu ilişki, giysinin ve modanın geçmiş çağlardan günümüze kimliğin ve sosyal statünün bir göstergesi olması dolayısıyla, görsel anlatım üzerinden ele alınmıştır. Yazıda giysinin ve modanın görsel temsili Antik Mısır’dan günümüze alınmıştır. Sonuçlar giysinin kumaştan renge her bir biriminin sosyal kimliğin ifadesi noktasından görsel anlam taşıdığını göstermiştir.
