Abstract :Bridging the persistent gap between Turkey’s disability rights policies (e.g., Law 5378) and the practical accessibility of sports facilities for youth, this study presents a practical roadmap for advancing inclusivity. It addresses accessibility challenges commonly observed in Turkish sports venues, identifying key areas for improvement by synthesizing these observations with analysis of international best practices (including Universal Design), nuanced user experience considerations (particularly for young people with disabilities), relevant policy evaluation, and systematic evaluation methodologies like Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE). The proposed roadmap outlines actionable strategies encompassing tailored Universal Design implementation, culturally attuned management and staff training, targeted accessibility enhancements, community engagement, and ongoing performance assessment. Findings aim to equip Turkish facility managers, designers, policymakers, and stakeholders with evidence-based guidance for moving from policy to practice, fostering sports environments that champion accessibility, celebrate diversity, and ensure a genuine sense of belonging for all Turkish youth.
