Abstract :\"Byzantium and the Pechenegs: The Historiography of the Problem\", by Mykola Melnyk, examines chronologically the historiography of the Byzantine Empire\'s relations with the nomads who lived mainly north of the Black Sea and in the Balkans. The work also analyses the perspectives of historiography, methods and the conditions that influenced it, offering a broad perspective within the framework of historiography. At the same time, the work provides suggestions for new researchers by mentioning the topics that have not been studied or have been neglected.
