Abstract :In the scope of this study, it has been aimed to evaluate the nutritional status and gastrointestinal symptoms of earthquake victims after the earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 6, 2023. This descriptive cross-sectional study has been included 118 adult individuals between the ages of 18-65 who lived in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, which was affected by the earthquake disaster, and who had never left there since the earthquake. In this study has been shown that adults had difficulty accessing food and significantly weight loss after the earthquake (p<0.001), and also experienced some gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and loss of appetite during the earthquake. National and global nutrition and health policies should be developed and implemented immediately in settlements that are considered disaster areas, such as Turkey, to minimize the destructive effects of the disaster.
