Abstract :Tourism policies of the European Union are very important with in the candidate and periphery countries, including Turkey. There are serious atiempts in Turkey for harmonisation of the policies of European Union, including tourism. in this study, the developments of the Turkish tourism, are analysed, compared and discussed with respect to the Union's tourism policies.
