Abstract :Bu çalışmada 19. Yüzyılda Osmanlı ekonomisinin özellikleri, bir yandan ana iktisadi faaliyet kolları açısından ele alınmış ve öte yandan bu görünüm, nüfus. eğitim ve kamu maliyesinin belirleyici sorunları çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Bu sonuçlar bugünkü ekonomik sorunların teşhisinde faydalı olacaktır.
