Abstract :Resûlullah’ın mesajını sonraki nesillere aktarabilme gayesi taşıyan hadis hâfızlarının oluşturduğu dokuz asırlık yapının mahiyeti her yönüyle çalışılması gereken önemli bir veri görünümündedir. Her ne kadar hadisçiler rivayetin daha yoğun olduğu ilk üç asra öncelik verseler de çeşitli yönleriyle söz konusu yapıyı da tartışmışlardır. Hadis hâfızların oluşturduğu bu sistemin günümüzde giderek artan bir oranda diğer sosyal disiplinler tarafından da dikkate alındığı görülmektedir.
