Abstract :It is possible to encounter many rumors against the art of poetry in Islamic literature. Therefore, the attitude of scholars towards the art of poetry has changed. While some of them had a cold attitude towards the art of poetry, some of them did not only sing and praise poetry, but regarded poetry as an effective means to transfer religious, moral, literary, phil-osophical and national values to future generations. Of course, both perspectives have their own religious basis. In this article, the verses of both sides have been evaluated, and it has been tried to reach a healthy conclusion that is far from excess and understatement.
