Abstract :his article examines the following issues: Sernantic analysis of the term of 'sahabi-the companions of the Prophet', the views of Muslim scholars ab out 'just sahabi', the qualifıcations of sahabi according to Qur'an and the hadith. İn addition, it deseribes the ir (sahabis) conditions after the demise of the Prophet, reexamination of the qualifıcations of some hadith narrators (sahabis) such as 'tulaka' and the ones who converted to Islam during the conquest of Makka.
