Abstract :Head injuries and accidents that cause lesions in the eye tissue can cause loss of vision, pain and severe deformities. In the emergency clinic, intervention in eye injury cases requires accurate and rapid diagnosis. The main objectives of such interventions are to prevention of loss of vision, prevention of loss of bulbus oculi, reduction of pain, and prevention of long-term complications. Traumatic proptosis (especially brachicephalic dog breeds), traumatic retrobulbar hemorrhage, desematocele, iris prolapse and corneal lacerations are more common in dogs, cats and horses when evaluated according to animal species. General condition and regional deformity in clinical examination and loss of vision in systematic eye examination are evaluated. Complications should be prevented by medical intervention or surgery immediately after diagnosis. In conclusion, it is extremely important to prevent the permanent sequelae of the eye in the emergency clinic through a correct diagnosis without delay.
