Abstract :Bu araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stilleri belirlenerek, öğrenme stillinin öğretmen adaylarının kimya dersindeki başarılarına ve derse yönelik tutumlarına etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma 2007–2008 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümü 1. sınıfta okuyan 186 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada Grasha ve Riechmann insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1982); tarafından geliştirilen ve Türkçeye uyarlanması Uzuntiryaki, Bilgin ve Geban insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2003); tarafından yapılan Öğrenme Stilleri Ölçeği ve araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen Kimya Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin kimya dersindeki başarıları için ise yılsonu kimya notları kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda öğrenme stillerinin öğretmen adaylarının kimya dersindeki başarılarına ve derse yönelik tutumlarına etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Anahtar Sözcükler: Öğrenme stili, kimya, tutum, başarı Abstract In this study it is aimed to carry out pre-service teachers\` learning style and examine the effect of the learning style on pre-service teachers\` chemistry success and pre-service teachers\` attitudes toward chemistry. Study was applied to 186 first year primary teacher department student at Mustafa Kemal University, education faculty. In the study Learning Style which was developed by Grasha and Riechmann insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1982); and adopted in Turkish by Uzuntiryaki, Bilgin ve Geban insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2003); and Chemistry attitude scale which was developed by researchers was used. For students\` chemistry success, their point of the end of the term was used. Research results show that learning style has an effect of pre-service teachers\` chemistry success and attitudes toward chemistry. Key Words: Learning Style, Chemistry, Attitude, Success
