Abstract :Colorectal cancer prevalence has rapidly increased due to dietary changes to Western style. The regulation of the gut microbiota may serve as a promising approach in colorectal cancer management. The dysbiosis of the gut microbiome affects cancer development because of its roles in inflammation and genotoxicity. Cell culture studies, animal studies, and some novel clinical studies refer to the therapeutic potential of Bifidobacterium.
