Effect of Using Fins on Cell Temperature at Air-Based PVT

Abstract :In this study, the effect of addition of fins in air-based PVT system on cell temperature investigated. Experimental tests were performed with frequent and sparse fins configurations and also empty(non-finned) state. Also, thermal camera images of cells were investigated and compared to images obtained by Fluent Ansys. Cell temperatures for all status of both polycrystal and monocrystal panel decreased between 8-20 °C. Panel surface was observed to have a uniform temperature distribution. Finally, temperature distribution images obtained with ANSYS Fluent were found to be quite compatible with thermal camera images.
