Abstract :İslâm dini ve tarihi ile Arap edebiyatı sahalarında yaptığı çalışmalarla dünya çapında haklı bir şöhrete sahip olan Yale Üniversitesi profesörlerinden tanınmış şarkiyatçı Franz Rosenthal 31 Ağustos 1914 yılında Yahudi bir ailenin çocuğu olarak Berlin'de dünyaya geldi.
