Abstract :This study discusses the model of regional development administrations, which has an important place in Türkiye’s development processes, through the Regional Development Administration of the Konya Plain Project (KOP). The study follows the literature review method based on historical narrative as a scientific method. In this regard, the research aims at revealing the place of regional development activities on the example of the KOP Regional Development Administration. During the preparation of the study, a detailed literature study on Türkiye’s development processes is compiled, and the activities of regional development administrations and the KOP in particular are examined. After these examinations, the historical process dealing with Türkiye\\\'s development activities is basically outlined in the preparation phase of the study, starting from the founding period of the Republic. By conveying the historical process, the terminology related to the study such as growth, development and region, which are focused on in the paper, is expressed, and the theme of the preliminary findings that necessitate rural development is discussed under one title. Then, the institutional structure of the KOP Regional Development Administration and which elements are prioritized in its activities based on regional development are emphasized. By the study, it is concluded that regional development, based on the activities of the KOP, both contains special issues within itself and requires planning based on common problems.
