Abstract :Fluorine-containing compounds play a significant role in drug development because fluorine atom has unique chemical properties due to its high electronegativity which significantly influences the properties important for drug design. In the present study, 2-fluorobenzoyl thiourea derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of 2-fluorobenzoyl isothiocyanate, which was obtained by the reaction of 2-fluorobenzoyl chloride with ammonium thiocyanate, with appropriate aniline derivatives. The structures of the benzoyl thioureas were confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
