Abstract :Bu yazı, toplumsal kimlik oluşumuna sosyolojik bir yaklaşım önermekte ve buradan hareketle kimlik siyasetleri konusunda Türkiye’deki güncel tartışmalara değinerek, kimlik siyasetlerine karşı çıkan milliyetçilik ve sınıfsalcılık gibi modernist akımların da aslında birer kimlik siyaseti örneği olduklarını savunmaktadır.
