AN ESSAY ON ECONOMIC THOUGHT INSPIRED BY ‘FIRST PHILOSOPHY’
Abstract
This essay first aims to ground, in the implementation of ‘first philosophy’ to social sciences, the complementary approaches of Karl Popper’s ‘evolutionary epistemology’ and Roy Bhaskar - Tony Lawson’s ‘critical realism’; and, thereby, to forge a link between the philosophies of economic thinkers. Secondly it aims to rediscover the concept of uncertainty and mostly a construction within the framework of the relationship between the ‘first philosophy’ and modes of philosophical thinking which were influenced by it.
