Hastanede Öğrencilere Verilen Oryantasyon Eğitiminin Etkinliğinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract :Hastanede Öğrencilere Verilen Oryantasyon Eğitiminin   Etkinliğinin Değerlendirilmesi   Özet  Amaç: Araştırma, hastanede öğrencilere verilen oryantasyon eğitiminin öğrencilerin  uyum süreci üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir . Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul Anadolu yakasında hizmet veren kadın hastalıkları  doğum ve çocuk hastanesine staj için gelen 217 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın  verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan katılımcıların tanıtıcı özellikleri ve hastane  hizmet sürecine yönelik soruları içeren 23 soruluk ön-test ve son-test anket formu ile  elde edilmiştir. Öğrencilere oryantasyon eğitimi öncesinde ön-test ve eğitim sonrası  son-test uygulanmıştır. Veriler SPSS programında yüzdelik hesaplama, t-test ve varyans  analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin ön-test puanları incelendiğinde; en  yüksek puanın %80 ile iletişim konularında alındığı, en düşük puanın %64.9 ile enfeksiyon  konularında alındığı saptanmıştır. Son-testte ise öğrencilerin en yüksek puanı (% 88.5)  ile yine iletişim konularında aldığı, en düşük puanı ise hasta güvenliği konularında  (%74.9) aldığı saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin ön-test puan ortalamasının 68.33±15.61, sontest puan ortalamasının 81.69±14.88 olduğu ve aradaki farkın anlamlı olduğu (p<.05),  eğitim sonrası öğrencilerin puanlarının yükseldiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca daha önce  iş sağlığı eğitimi alanların, kadın öğrencilerin, üniversite öğrencilerinin puanlarının  diğerlerine göre daha yüksek olduğu ve aradaki farkın anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır  (p<.05). Sonuç: Öğrencilerin hastanelere staja çıktıklarında kurum bazlı oryantasyon  eğitimlerine ihtiyaçlarının olduğu ve yapılan eğitimin öğrencilerin farkındalıklarını  artırdığı belirlenmiştir.  Anahtar kelimeler: Eğitim, ebe, hemşire, oryantasyon eğitimi, öğrenci   Assessment of the Effectiveness of Orientation Training Given to   Students at Hospital    Abstract  Objective:  Study was performed to determine the effectiveness of orientation training  provided for students at hospitals on the adaptation process of students. Materials  and Methods:  The sample included 217 students who were interns at an obstetrics and  pediatrics hospital located at the Anatolian site of Istanbul. Data were collected using  a pre-test and post-test questionnaire form which was prepared by the researchers  and consisted of 23 questions on personal characteristics and hospital services. Prior  to the orientation training, a pre-test was administered and following the training, a  post-test was applied. Statistical analyses including percentiles, t-tests, and analysis of  variance were carried out using the SPSS software . Findings: Pre-test results showed  that students scored the highest on the communication category at 80% level, while the  lowest scores were obtained from the infection category at 64.9% level. According to  post-test results, the highest and lowest scores were obtained from the communication  (88.5%) and patient safety (74.9%) categories, respectively. It was found that the mean  pre- and post-test scores were 68.33±15.61 and 81.69±14.88, respectively. There was a  significant difference between the pre- and post-test scores (p<.05). Students’ scores  increased following the training. It was also determined that students who previously  received occupational health training, who were female and who were university  students significantly scored higher compared to others (p<.05). Conclusion: It was  concluded that students need to receive organization based orientation programs  during internship and that orientation training increased awareness .
