Abstract :Sağlıkta Biyoistatistiksel Uygulamalar   Özet  Sağlık alanında gerçekleştirilen çalışmalarda biyoistatistik kavramı; gerek tanımlayıcı  olması, gerekse tanı veya tedavi işlemlerinde, toplumsal değişimlerde ve koruyucu  bazı hizmetlerde kullanılması nedeniyle son derece önem kazanmaktadır. Biyoistatistik  yöntemler hem hazırlık, planlama, veri toplama gibi ön işlemlerde; hem de  değerlendirme ve yorumlama gibi son işlemlerde çalışmaya dâhil edilmektedir. Bu  derleme kapsamında istatistik ve biyoistatistik kavramları tanımlanmış, biyoistatistiğin  gelişim ve gerekliliğinden bahsedilerek sağlık alanında kullanılan yöntemlere  değinilmiştir. Ayrıca, uygun istatistiksel yöntemin seçimi örneklerle anlatılmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Biyoistatistik, biyoistatistik uygulama alanları, biyoistatistiksel  testler, uygun biyoistatistiksel test seçimi.   Biostatistical Applications in Health   Abstract  The concept of biostatistics in studies carried out in the field of health is very  important because of using in diagnosis or treatment processes, social changes and  some protective services. Biostatistical methods are used in preliminary processes  such as preparation, planning, data collection as well as in the final processes such as  evaluation and interpretation. In this review, the concepts of statistics and biostatistics  were defined, the development and necessity of biostatistics were mentioned and the  procedures which are used in the field of health were discussed. Also, selection of the  appropriate statistical method was explained by examples.
