Abstract :Özet 2019 yılının Aralık ayında Dünya Sağlık Örgütü, yeni bir koronovirüs çeşidinin Çin’in Wuhan şehrinde ortaya çıktığını bildirmiş, bu virüs tüm dünya genelinde bir toplum sağlığı sorunu olarak yayılmış ve pandemi boyutuna ulaşmıştır. İnsanlarda ilk defa görülen yeni bir koronavirüs olduğundan Novel Coronavirüs 2019 (nCoV2019) olarak tanımlanmış ve hastalığın adı COVID-19 olarak kabul edilmiştir. COVID-19’un en yaygın belirti ve semptomları ateş, öksürük ve dispne gibi diğer viral solunum yolu enfeksiyonlarına benzer bulgulardır. Çocuklarda hastalık hafif seyreder. Çoğu vaka ateş, öksürük, burun tıkanıklığı, rinore ve boğaz ağrısı gibi üst solunum yolu enfeksiyonu belirtileriyle kendini göstermektedir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışma ile COVID-19 enfeksiyonunun önemli tanımlayıcı özelliklerinden ve hemşirelerin tanılaması ve değerlendirmesi gereken yaşam bulgularından biri olan ateşin yönetimi konusunda bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Abstract In December 2019, the World Health Organization announced that a new type of coronovirus emerged in Wuhan, China, and this virus has spread worldwide as a public health problem and has reached the pandemic size. Since it is a new coronavirus that has not previously been detected in humans, novel Coronavirus was identified as 2019 (nCoV2019) and its disease is considered COVID-19. The most common signs and symptoms of COVID-19 are findings similar to other viral respiratory infections such as fever, cough, and dyspnea. The disease progress mild in children. Most cases are manifested by symptoms of upper respiratory infection, such as fever, cough, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea and sore throat. In this context, with this study, it is aimed to give information about the management of fever, which is one of the important diagnostic features of COVID-19 infection, and one of the life signs that nurses should diagnose and evaluate.
