Abstract :A wide variety of interrupted arrangements of cartographic projections have been proposed or devised by many inventors from variousdisciplines and nations over the past five centuries.. Some of thesearrangements are of often controversial nature and therefore critized,some of them became obselete and can only be used for collectionpurposes due to being the first and last example of their generation,and the few have made their way into the map projection use. Nevertheless, there is always a lesson to learn and an experience togain from those presentations. In this study, it is aimed to introduceBuckminster Fuller and his World map to our colleagues and to derive some practical sense of interrupted representation and projectionsof the earth onto polyhedral surfaces
