Abstract :: In this article Ibn Taymiyya?s interpretation about the oneness of God (tawhid, the essential principle of Islamic belief will be dealt with. With regard to Ibn Taymiyya on the basis of the oneness of God, the two problems of   how how one can achieve the Knowledge of Absolute Reality and what is the way of obtaining happiness will be explained. This article also will emphasize the significance of the love of God and the knowledge of the truth in order to have the perfection of the soul and to obtain happiness. By considering God mentioned as beloved and loving in the Holy Qur?ân and in the Sunna, it will be explained that the attribution of the word of ashk (passionate love) to God does not fit properly.
