Abstract : Çalışma Kars platosunun odonata faunasının belirlenmesi amacı ile yapıldı. Bu çalışmada, Kars merkez ve ilçelerinden Haziran 2005 Ağustos 2009 tarihleri arasında çeşitli su birikintileri, sazlıklar ve çeşitli alanlarda yaşayan 156 adet Odonata örneği toplandı. Değerlendirmeler sonucu, 5 familya ve bu familyalara ait 7 cinsten 13 tür tespit edildi. Bu türler; Calopteryx splendens, Lestes sponsa, Lestes barbarus, Enallagma cyathigerum, Aeshna affinis, Aeshna juncea, Libellula depressa, Libellula quadrimaculata, Leucorrhinia pectoralis, Sympetrum pedemontanum, Sympetrum sanguineum, Sympetrum flaveolum, Sympetrum striolatum’dir. Toplanan bu örneklerin alt takım, familya, cins ve tür tanı anahtarları yapıldı. Tespit edilen bu türlerin ayırt edici taksonomik özellikleri tanımlandı. Kars platosunda toplanan bu türler önceden tespit edilmiş türlerdir.
