Abstract :This study examines the positioning of the Strategy as Practice (SaP) approach within the strategic management literature by comparing it to Mintzberg\\\'s ten strategy schools. Through a detailed analysis of theoretical foundations, terminologies, methodologies, and applications, the research highlights SaP\\\'s unique contributions to bridging the gap between prescriptive and descriptive approaches in strategy formation. The findings reveal that SaP aligns most closely with the Cultural and Learning schools, emphasizing the dynamic, socially constructed, and emergent nature of strategy as a practice. By focusing on micro-level social interactions and organizational routines, SaP offers a complementary perspective to the structured frameworks of Mintzberg\\\'s schools. This study contributes to the strategic management field by providing a comprehensive comparison and proposing a more integrated understanding of strategy formation processes. Implications for future research and practice are discussed, emphasizing the need for a nuanced, context-sensitive approach to strategizing.
