Abstract :Historically, the Silk Road is an inter-civilisational road that carries not only trade products but also cultural products from one place to another. This road, which has served as a bridge between different nations, religions and cultures for centuries, has also been an intermediary that has led to the meeting and fusion of some common values between the geographies it passes through. Therefore, many noteworthy events of history have taken place in this context and the Silk Road has been a historical road extending in the east-west direction as well as a road extending in the west-east direction. Named after Chinese silk, one of the most valuable commodities traded along the route, the Silk Road played an important role in shaping world trade and cultural exchange and contributed to the development of civilisations and economies worldwide. The Silk Road has been a historical tool for the exchange of goods, ideas and culture, and thus has been one of the influential factors in shaping world trade and cultural exchange. According to another information, it was Von Richtofen who first named this caravan route, which connects China to the western regions through Central Asia, \"Silk Road\". The Silk Road has been researched many times in the context of China, Central Asia and Europe. However, the Silk Road has not been sufficiently studied in the Azerbaijan axis. For this reason; we aimed to bring this study into Turkish due to the limited research on the relations between India and Azerbaijan in history.
