Abstract :The main materials of this study consist of ectoparasite specimens (chewing lice and mites) collected from wild ducks (Anatidae: Anas, Netta, Spatula and Tadorna) found dead in nature during ornithological field studies conducted in the Denizli province, Türkiye. As a result of the microscopic examinations carried out in light of relevant literature sources, seven ectoparasite species were detected: two chewing lice and five feather mites. Among the detected species, Bdellorhynchus polymorphus Trouessart, 1885, Freyana aythinae Dubinin 1951, Freyana largifolia Mégnin & Trouessart, 1884 and Freyana obliquasetae (Dubinin, 1950) were new records for the Turkish acarofauna. New host-parasite associations were identified for Freyana anatina (Koch, 1844). In addition, an evaluation of all ectoparasite species presented so far from duck species found in the Turkish avifauna is also presented.
