Abstract :This paper examines laws relating to municipal borrowing and municipality loans in Turkey. First part of this study aims to review restrictions on borrowing and use of loans. Sources of borrowing and loan types are examined in the part on loan structure. Finally, municipal borrowing is evaluated by current laws and draft municipality law in Turkey
