Abstract :Este artículo trata sobre la influencia de William Blake en Odysseas Elytis, así como sobre el lugar común en ambos poetas, partiendo del análisis de los Proverbios y aforismos. Odysseas Elytis fue considerado como un importante exponente del modernismo romántico en Grecia y el mundo. En 1979 recibió el Premio Nobel de Literatura. Sus poemas son apasionados y sutiles, ricos en historia y mitos de Grecia. Elytis y Blake parecen tener muchos puntos en común, sin que el primero dependa del segundo. Pero Elytis vio que compartía algunas de las ideas y perspectivas que ya expresó Blake en su poesía.
