Abstract :Laik Devletler, Dini Politika: Hindistan, Türkiye ve Laikliğin Geleceği\`nde Sumantra Bose, Batı dışı dünyanın önde gelen laik devletleri olarak hem Hindistan\`da hem de Türkiye\`de laik devlet ve dini siyaset arasındaki iki belirgin daraltıcı ilişkiyi ele alıyor. Bu çalışmanın arkasındaki ana paradoks, laikliğin Hindistan ve Türkiye\`nin kurucuları tarafından kurucu ilke olarak benimsenmesine ve anayasal olarak kalmasına rağmen, Türkiye\`de laiklik karşıtı siyasi partilerin Erdoğan liderliğindeki Sünni-İslamcı AKP\`nin ve Hindistan\`da Modi liderliğindeki çoğunlukçu-milliyetçi BJP\`nin yükselişidir.
