Abstract :Kocaeli Triyasında büyük bir yayılım yapan Ausseites'ler, Trachyceras aon ve T. aonoides zonlarına ait fauna ile birlikte bulunurlar. Litofasiyesi koyu kırmızı renkli yumrulu görünümlü kireçtaşlan, biyofasiyesi ise Joannites epibolüdür. Bu epibol Ladiniyen ve Alt Karniyen yaşlı faunayı kapsar.
