Abstract :ÖZET Bu araştırma, ortaöğretim ve üniversite öğrencilerinin doğa kavramına ilişkin algıları metaforlar aracılığıyla ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya 198 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%70,2); ortaöğretim öğrencisi ile 84 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(%29,8); üniversite öğrencisi olmak üzere toplam 282 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada aşağıdaki sorulara cevap aranmıştır. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1); öğrencilerin doğa kavramına ilişkin sahip oldukları metaforlar nelerdir? insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2); öğrencilerin doğa kavramına ilişkin algıları eğitim durumu ve cinsiyet değişkeni bakımından farklılık göstermekte midir? Araştırmada verilerin toplanması için araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen bir ölçek yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma ve t-testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, ortaöğretim ve üniversite öğrencileri doğa kavramını orman, yeşil alan, ev, hayat, oksijen tüpü, cennet, sanat, özgürlük, gökkuşağı, canlı ve huzur olarak algıladıkları tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte öğrencilerin doğa kavramıyla ilgili algılarına yönelik metaforları arasında eğitim durumu ve cinsiyet değişkenlerine göre bazı anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu belirlenmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Doğa, metafor, ortaöğretim, üniversite öğrencileri ABSTRACT This study examines and analyses the metaphors that high school and university students formulated to describe the concept of nature. 198 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(70,2% ); high school students and 84 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(29,8%); university students insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(n=282); participated in the study. Specifically, the following questions guided this study: insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(1); what metaphors do high school and university students use to describe the concept of nature? insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2); How do these themes differ across participants’ education level and gender?. The data were collected with a research packet consisted of a questionnaire. In the analysis of data, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test were used. The results obtained in this study are as follows: While metaphors associated with nature were received by students at high level, nature were seen by high school and university students as forest, green area, living, live, home, rainbow, art, freedom, scuba, heaven and serenity. Also among the views of participants, significant difference with respect to educational level and gender was found. Keywords: Nature, metaphor, high school, university students
