Abstract :This paper analyzes the impact of changes in the competitive market structure on industry productivity growth. The aim of the paper is to examine the determinants of productivity in Turkish manufacturing industries, by elaborating particularly at the impact of competition policy on productivity. Using a newly available panel data in Turkish manufacturing industry for the years 1992-2001, it is shown that competition insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(as measured by lower level of industrial price-cost margin); enhances productivity growth.
