The Role of Trade Liberalization in Services in Developing Countries

Abstract :The services sector is the most important sector for most developing countries. It is the largest contributor to economic growth and employment. Trade in services is a rapidly growing phenomenon. International trade in services can improve economic performance but services liberalization also carries some risks. The objective of this paper is to examine the role of trade liberalization in services in terms of economic growth and comparative advantages in developing economies.
