Abstract :The expression, “There is no clergy in Islam”, which is also transmitted as a prophetic tradition, has a special place in the contemporary Islamic and Turkish thought with regard to purgation of the scholars insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ulama); and the modification of the conception of religious authority. In this article, this problem is discussed within the framework of the scholars insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ulama);, caliphate and religious authority.
