Abstract :Özet Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersi “Demokrasinin Serüveni” ünitesi öğretim programını değerlendirmektir. Araştırmada, Tyler’ın “Amaca Dayalı Program Değerlendirme Modeli” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 132 öğrenci ve 3 öğretmen üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri, başarı testi insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(öntest-sontest);, öğretmen anketi, öğrenci öz değerlendirme formları insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(kazanım ve süreç);, gözlem ve görüşme ile toplanmıştır. 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersi “Demokrasinin Serüveni” ünitesi için öğrencilerin programdan önce ve sonraki başarıları arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığını belirlemek amacıyla ilişkili örneklemler için t testi; başarı testinden elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistiklerden; frekans, yüzde ve aritmetik ortalama kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, öğrencilerin ön test ve son test puanları insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(birinci kazanım hariç); aynı kabul edilebilecek kadar az değişmiştir. Demokrasinin Serüveni ünitesi işleniş sürecinde öğrencilerin, bir ve üçüncü kazanımlarla ilgili etkinliklere daha fazla katıldıkları ve görüş bildirdikleri gözlenmiştir. Bunun yanında programın tam olarak uygulanamadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Anahtar Sözcükler: Program değerlendirme, sosyal bilgiler, öğretim programı. Abstract The purpose of this research is to evaluate the chapter of “Adventure of Democracy” in Social Studies course at 6th grade elementary school. In this research, Tyler’s “Objectives-based Evaluation Model” is used. The research has been carried out on 132 pupils and 3 teachers. The data of the research   is gathered through acquisition test insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(pre-test / post-test);, teacher survey, pupil self-evaluation forms insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(educational acquisition and the process);, as well as observation and discussion. In order to find out whether there is considerable difference between pupils’ success before and after the curriculum for social studies course: “Adventures of Democracy” chapter at 6th grade, we have used relevant sampling for t-test   and descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage and arithmetic average for analysis of the data obtained from success test. According to the findings of the research, the pupils’ pre-test and post-test scores insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(excluding the first acquisition); have showed very little difference that can be considered almost the same. During the study on the chapter of “Adventure of Democracy”, it was observed that the pupils showed more participation to the first and third acquisition activities and expressed their opinions. Besides, it was discovered that the curriculum could not be applied properly. Keywords: Curriculum evaluation, social studies, curriculum.
