Abstract :Mimarlık ve cinsiyet ilişkisi, farklı kültür ve coğrafyalarda, çeşitli mimari temsillerle biçimlenmiş, farklı disiplinlerce ele alınmış, farklı perspektifler barındıran geniş bir çalışma alanı olarak görülmektedir. Kadının ‘ev’ ile ilişkisi özellikle yirminci yüzyılın ikinci yarısından sonraki tartışmalarda önemli bir konu olmuştur. Bu makalede, cinsiyet ile mimarlık mekânı arasındaki ilişki üzerinde durulmaktadır. Farklı kültürlerin farklı dönemlerde cinsiyet olgusu ile mimari ürün arasında kurduğu ilişki irdelenirken, evsel alanda yaşanan cinsiyete dayalı mekânsal ayrışma irdelenmektedir. _________________________________________________________________________________ Gender of House Abstract The relationship between space and gender, which has been structured architecturally with different presentations in different cultures and geographies, which has been studied by different disciplines and that covers different perspectives, has been viewed as an extensive study area.  The relation of the woman to the house, has been an important issue in the discussions especially after the second half of 20th century. In this article, the relationship between gender and architectural space is covered.  While the relationship of different cultures between gender and architectural product in different periods is searched for, spatial segregation in the domestic area based on gender is examined.
