Abstract :The article dedicates to the folklore activity of Hanafi Zeynalli who had a great role in Azerbaijan folklore study. In 1930-1935 years Hanafi Zeynalli was the chief of the folklore chair at the department of literature at Azerbaijan State Scientific-Investigation Institute, the chairman of the department language and literature of Azerbaijan branch of past USSR. In those years the role of H. Zeynalli in collecting, compiling and publication of Azerbaijan folklore was great. In the article the activity of H. Zeynalli in this sphere is studied and investigated.
