Abstract :This study examines the phenomenon of \\\"greenwashing\\\", where businesses develop misleading strategies based on environmental and social sensitivity and examines the legal regulations developed in Turkey to combat this practice. In this context, the causes, forms, and social, institutional, and financial impacts of greenwashing are examined in detail, revealing how this phenomenon threatens sustainability goals. The transition from greenwashing to \\\"green trust\\\" will be possible through transparent reporting, standards-based measurement, independent auditing, and international harmonization. This study evaluates legal frameworks such as the regulations implemented by the POA, CMB, and BRSA, as well as the green taxonomy initiative, within the scope of combating greenwashing in Turkey. Ultimately, the study emphasizes that sustainability must be built on a ground of trust, based not only on rhetoric but also on action and oversight. Keywords : Greenwashing, Green Trust, Sustainability Reporting
