Abstract :The study carried out in Hatay province in 2019 and 2020 aimed to determine pest aphid species on some vegetables belonging to the Solanaceae family. Surveys were carried out in Arsuz, Antakya, Altınözü, Yayladağ and Samandağ districts for tomatoes, peppers and eggplants, and in Antakya, Reyhanlı and Kumlu districts for potatoes. In total, 23.52% of 408 fields checked were found to be infested with any aphid species. The most infested plant was determined as tomato (33.96%), and the least infested plant was eggplant (14.81%). Samandağ was determined as the most infested district for tomatoes (63.63%), peppers (30%) and eggplants (36.36%). For potatoes, Reyhanlı was determined as the most infested district (35.71%). During the study, four aphid species were identified: Myzus (Nectarosiphon) persicae (Sulzer), Aulacorthum solani (Kaltenbach), Aphis fabae Scopoli and Aphis nasturtii Kaltenbach. Of these species, A. nasturtii was found only in potatoes, and A. fabae was found only in pepper. A. solani and M. persicae species were also detected on black nightshade, Solanum nigrum L., a weed belonging to the Solanaceae family. The presence of A. solani in Hatay province is reported for the first time with this study. In the study, 12 natural enemy species belonging to four orders and six families were identified. The most prevalent species in the Coccinellidae (Coleoptera) family was determined as Hippodamia variegata Goeze (69.8%).
