Abstract :Küreselleşme; tarihsel kökenleri üzerinde 1970’lerle birlikte oluşmaya başlayan ve toplumun tüm alt sistemlerinde meydana gelen olayları içeren bir olgudur. Ekonomik bütünleşme, kültürel çeşitlenme, politik bağımlılaşma gibi pek çok paradoksal, bütünsel ve etkileşimli süreç, küreselleşmenin özünde yer almaktadır. Bu özsel temelin etki alanlarından biri de, ulus-devlettir. Ulus-devlet, küreselleşme sürecinde niteliksel ve işlevsel bir dönüşümden geçmektedir. Ulus-ötesi uygulamaların biçimlendirdiği ulus-devlet, küresel kapitalizmin güdümünde kalmaktadır.
