Abstract :Culture, which is expressed as a life style of a nation, is a concept consisting of both material and spiritual values. Beliefs considered to be among the spiritual values and practices related to these occupy an important place in the social life of societies. Some beliefs and practices continue by becoming traditions while some disappear over time in parallel with the process of change. A ık style poetry tradition having a rooted- history told various matters about people’s life with their own language. Therefore, it is possible to determine the beliefs from the elements of people’s life and practices about them in the poems belonging to this tradition. These cultural values are regarded wealthy with its reflected forms. At the same time, it is possible to remark that this tradition took an important function for ensuring the permanance
